THE WAY WE BUILD YOUR LOG HOME MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
Building a log home is an art that began centuries
ago and, at Superior Log Homes, we have taken great care to preserve
those standards of ethics, traditions of quality and methods of construction
handed down through the years. With over 30 years of experience in hand-crafted
log home building we, too, have a tradition to uphold. At Superior Log Homes, each home we prepare is a "custom home". We build them one at a time. Each Superior log is pre-fitted to plan prior to shipment to a customer. We want to be sure each log fits before it leaves our plant. To preserve the authentic appearance of a Superior Log Home, the bark from each log is hand peeled with a traditional knife - the same manner in which logs have been de-barked since the days of the pioneers. All of the corners of a Superior Log Home are hand-scribed and saddle notched, another authentic detail to which we adhere. EASE OF CONSTRUCTION MAKES A DIFFERENCE. The stacking height of a Superior log is 8", which means fewer joints - which means fewer logs to put in place. Joined logs are pulled together with 14" spikes every 4 to 5 feet along the length of the log. Your Superior Log Home can be built on a wide variety of foundations, including cement block, poured wall, and pressure-treated wood foundations. Most importantly we, at Superior Log Homes, believe in service after the sale. If you have any questions during the assembly of your log home, call us and we'll help.
